Breeding philosophy

According to the provisions of our breeding regulations and statutes, it is the breeding philosophy of the RRBC eV to breed and maintain the Rhodesian Ridgeback in its perfect form according to the specifications of the breed standard, deposited under number 146, Group 6 of the FCI.

Since breeding is an ongoing process, it cannot be subject to rigid regulations. Rather, it must always be a process that embraces new insights, experiences, and exchanges. We strive for close cooperation with the breeding organizations of other clubs and experienced experts on the breed and breeding.

Our work should be guided by the exchange and sharing of information, as well as exploring new avenues and not closing ourselves off to other opinions. The dog is man's best friend, so dog breeding is a human-to-human relationship with the animal, for its preservation and protection within the framework of animal welfare and its associated guidelines.

We therefore strive to take up our work in a humanistic sense and to meet the requirements of breeding and human coexistence.
